Plot

One

IDW's series of adaptations of landmark Angel episodes continues with "A Hole in the World," one of the series' most heartbreaking episodes! Adapting both "A Hole in the World" and "Shells," this five-issue mini-series tells the tragic tale of how Illyria came to fight alongside Angel, and at what terrible cost. This month, a mysterious shipment to Wolfram & Hart puts Fred in mortal danger...

Two

IDW's series of adaptations of landmark Angel episodes continues with A Hole in the World, one of the series' most heartbreaking episodes! As Fred begins to succumb to a horrible curse, Angel and his crew frantically race to find a cure, and discover only treachery in their midst, in the form of a betrayal from one of their own.

Three

Continuing the harrowing story of one of the Angelverse's most controversial characters, Fred continues to be gutted from the inside out as Angel and Spike discover that the cost of saving her might be more than they can sacrifice.

Four

After recovering her full powers, Illyria sets out to reclaim her position as ruler of the world, seeking her vast army that exists between our plain of existence and has been awaiting her return. Meanwhile, Wesley discovers Gunn's horrifying role in Fred's death and enacts his own kind of justice.

Five

The harrowing conclusion to two fan-favorite episodes follows Angel, Wesley, and Spike as they try to stop Illyria from resurrecting her army and taking over L.A. But it's Illyria who makes a shocking discovery no one was prepared for when she finally steps into her temple, just as Angel discovers there's no way to resurrect Fred.
