"After the Fall" was long-running story arc in the Angel and Spike comics from IDW Publishing. After Brian Lynch's work on several Spike miniseries had impressed Joss Whedon; they collaborated on a canonical comic book continuation of the Angel television series[1]. This story was originally published as Angel: After the Fall. After its seventeen issue run, IDW Publishing chose to continue this series beyond the Joss-plotted story, although the canonicity of these later issues is uncertain. Beside the main series, the story arc also featured in a Spike mini-series.

Synopsis
After Team Angel had destroyed the Circle of the Black Thorn, Wolfram & Hart retaliated by sending Los Angeles to Hell. Initially, the members of Team Angel were separated, but throughout the story arc, they joined back up again and eventually defeated then-vampire Gunn, before Wolfram & Hart rewound time to before the Fall, effectively restoring Los Angeles.

Continuation
Although many of the subsequent issues of the Angel comic book series directly or indirectly dealt with the aftermath of the Fall of Los Angeles, three of these deserve special mention.
- "After the Fall - Epilogue" aka "Become What You Are" - as the title suggests, this issue served as an epilogue to the "After the Fall" story arc, focussing on the fate of Gunn.
- "Drusilla, Part One" and "Drusilla, Part Two" - these issues showed Drusilla just prior to and during the Fall of Los Angeles.
- "Last Angel in Hell (comic)" - this comic book one-shot was presented as an adaptation of the in-universe film of the same title, which was based on the Fall of Los Angeles and portrayed Nicholas Cage as Angel.
