These curved knives were employed by the Harbingers of Death, the demon priests and assassins of The First Evil. They were the primary weapon used in terminating potential slayers where a group of Bringers would violently chase after the potential, before holding her down and shoving the knife into her abdomen. Hired innate Debbie attempted to kill the Slayer Faith Lehane with one of these daggers, but failed because of Faith's not being a Potential, and also because of her superior strength and skill. This was also the weapon that bisected Anya Jenkins during the Battle at the Hellmouth.
