Caritas was a violence-free bar, a neutral ground for every creature in Los Angeles, regardless of being human, vampire or demon. Its owner was Lorne. Caritas is Latin for mercy.

Caritas was built where Lorne first appeared in this dimension as it is the location of a mystical "hot spot". A Drokken beast also appeared in Caritas from Pylea.

It was kept violence-free by spells performed by the Transuding Furies.

Its interior was destroyed three times by Angel or his enemies before Lorne gave up rebuilding it to sing at a casino in Las Vegas.
