Other credits include directing the Disney feature film Air Bud and guest starring in a 1985 episode of The New Twilight Zone, which also guest starred Juliet Landau's father, Martin Landau. Charles Martin Smith and Candy Clark, who played Buffy's mother in the 1992 film, were in most of their scenes in American Graffiti together as Debbie and Toad.
