The Class Protector Award was an award given to Buffy Summers by the Class of '99 at the 1999 Prom Dance. To Buffy's surprise, the Sunnydale High student body was actually aware of her actions when protecting them from evil. Jonathan Levinson gave Buffy an ornately decorated parasol for the award. Three months later, it was broken by the vampire Sunday in an attempt to discourage Buffy, but it made her furious instead.

In the altered reality caused after Jonathan cast an Augmentation spell to make himself cool, it was Jonathan himself who received the Award from Buffy's hands.
