Cleveland is a city in the state of Ohio in the U.S.

While never actually seen on screen in the show itself, Cleveland is mentioned a few times in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where it is stated that it is a site of a lot of demonic activity. The first mention of Cleveland is in the episode "The Wish", where the "Wishverse" Giles calls it a "hotbed of demonic activity", and it is established that the "Wishverse" Buffy Summers makes the city her usual base of operations. In the main BtVS universe, Giles says at the end of "Chosen" that Cleveland has its very own hellmouth, as part of a suggestion that Buffy and her compatriots continue their fight against evil there.

In the non-canon novel Queen of the Slayers, which takes place after "Chosen", Faith and Robin go to Cleveland to control the supernatural activity there.

In the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight comics, at the beginning of the arc "No Future for You", Faith is seen using Cleveland as her base of operations, along with Robin Wood and his own squadron of Slayers. It is also in "No Future for You" that Giles calls Cleveland a "second-rate hellmouth" implying that hellmouths vary in strength. In Angel: After the Fall, conduits for the Senior Partners suggest that Cleveland is a "hot property" now in the wake of Sunnydale's destruction.
