While created as part of licensed material, the novel Cursed is confirmed in a historian's note to not be part of the "real" Buffyverse.
|Angel and Spike ... on the same side?|

Various demons battled Spike since he was given a chip preventing him from hurting humans. A more organized and united effort was made to put him out of the picture. In Los Angeles, Angel was searching for a mystical object that was linked to his days as Angelus. Spike arrived in Los Angeles, but he and Angel still held grudges against each other. They reluctantly worked together and dealt with their shared evil pasts.
Behind the Scenes
- A Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Angel crossover book, this involved Spike (who was, at the time, a regular on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) with Angel and the "Fang Gang" in Los Angeles.
- Cursed is notable because it is one of the very few Buffyverse works to have had its canonical status confirmed. In a historian's note at the beginning of the book, it is stated to take place in an alternate version of Buffy Season 5/Angel Season 3.
