Dean Robert Batali was a writer whose work included episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, along with his writing partner at the time, Rob Des Hotel. Batali also served as an executive story editor during the first two seasons of the show.

He went on to work as a writer and producer for the sitcom That '70s Show. He is an Executive Producer for the Canadian young adult series What's Up Warthogs!.
