While created as part of licensed material, it has not been confirmed as part of the "real" Buffyverse.
Fair Quinn was an actor in the 1930s, who had cut a deal with Hollywood's "most influential director" for stardom and success in exchange for five souls. His meteoric climb towards stardom was cut short when he was killed by members of a mob he owed money to. This trapped his soul was in the reel of his last movie, "The Final Cut", until he could make the last of his payments to 'The Guy Downstairs'.
In 1999, the film reel was discovered by a young aspiring director, Marty Glass, who cut a deal with Quinn to provide him with the sacrifices he needed; in exchange, Marty would get to direct a film starring Fair Quinn. Quinn opened a dimensional portal that allowed Marty to cross into the film, along with four sacrifices, Willow, Xander, Oz and Cordelia whom he conned into believing that they would all have parts in the creation of his new movie. Buffy Summers managed to save her friends in time, but was unable to save Marty from being Quinn's first sacrifice. Helping her friends to escape the movie reel, Buffy closed the portal before Quinn could escape and burned the tape.
