Class of '99

The Class of '99 was the group of about ninety-five students of Sunnydale High School that graduated in May 1999.[1] Despite the fact the school was rebuilt a few years later,[2] this would be the final class to graduate from Sunnydale High.[3]

Many of Sunnydale High's students would've been part of it had they not been killed during their school years, such as Jesse McNally,[4] David Kirby,[5] Emily Djiemanowicz,[6] Kevin Benedict,[7] Sheila Martini,[8] Rodney Munson,[9] Theresa Klusmeyer,[10] and Debbie Foley.[11] However, according to Jonathan, this class had the lowest mortality rate of any other graduating class in Sunnydale history, all thanks to the Slayer's arrival.[12]

During the Ascension of Mayor Richard Wilkins into the embodiment of the Old One Olvikan, the Class of '99, organized by Buffy and Xander fought against the Mayor and his vampire servants. Several of the graduating students, including Larry and Harmony, did not survive the battle.[1]
