Synopsis[]

An all-new miniseries from the writer of Spike: Lost and Found and the artist of Angel: Old Friends! Angel's back on the job in Los Angeles, tracking a mysterious cult and working to solve a kidnapping. The only trouble is, a few old familiar faces keep showing up — faces he shouldn't really be seeing! And what does Spike have to do with it?^[1]

Angel fights imitations of people from his past, a challenge he already faced through the miniseries Old Friends. He was also confronted by impersonations from the First Evil in the episode "Amends."
Angel reminds himself he saw Darla die in an alley, which happened in the episode "Lullaby."
"Darla" accuses Angel of allowing Holtz raise Connor, which happened when the vampire hunter kidnapped him in "Sleep Tight."
Angel says he got Connor back ("The Price") and had him be happy and safe now ("Home").
"Skip" accuses Angel of letting Cordelia down, referring to her death in "You're Welcome" caused by Skip's scheming revealed in "Inside Out."
"Skip" also says everyone Angel gets close pays the price, listing Doyle ("Hero"), Fred ("A Hole in the World"), and Wesley ("Not Fade Away"), who all died while associated with Angel.
