Serena was a friend of Cordelia Chase and Emily.
Serena organized groups of girls to accompany her to the bars and clubs that were the 'in' places, bringing in Jason and Wilson Christopher as they were rich and wealthy. After taking Cordelia and Emily to Lounge LaBrea, Serena was impregnated by Jason with the spawn of a demon who acted as their benefactor, a Haxil beast. After the Haxil beast's death at the hands of Angel and Wesley, Serena was safely freed from the Haxil beast's spawn.
