Angelwings

The Curse is a miniseries of the Angel comic book meta-series. Written by Jeff Mariotte and illustrated by David Messina, the five issues were originally published from June to October 2005 by IDW Publishing.

Premise[]

Angel travels to Romania to find the Kalderash people, and ask them to amend the Ritual of Restoration to allow him happiness. Instead, he finds the Clan struggling against the oppressive regime of Corneliu Brasov. Caught in the fight, is only direct descendant of Magda: Natalya, who may be the only one capable of removing the curse.

In the stunning conclusion to Angel: The Curse, Angel's attempt to help his new Romany allies fight for freedom erupts in violent war. Lives are lost and saved, a traitor is exposed, and hopes and dreams turn to dust. When it's all over, what will be the shape of Angel's new future?
