Guardians

The Guardians were a group of powerful mystic women who sought to aid the Slayer and also watched over the Shadow Men and their descendants, the Watchers' Council. The Guardians created the Scythe and infused it with the power of the Slayer, though they kept the weapon hidden from the Shadow Men and eventually hid it in Sunnydale, waiting for a Slayer that would use it to prevent the apocalypse. Over the centuries, the Guardians were killed except for one of them, who had hidden in Sunnydale. The last guaridan was played by Christine Healy.
