We're doing the binding spell from Hebron's Almanac?
―Willow Rosenberg[src]

Hebron's Almanac contained a powerful binding spell capable of containing the Hellmouth Spawn. Willow Rosenberg and Rupert Giles performed it on 1999 after the Sisterhood of Jhe opened the Hellmouth. It presumably also closed the Hellmouth.

The Spell

The ritual involved tracing a mystical symbol on the floor and placing candles in the appropriate location. The spell caster chanted: "Terra, vente, ignis et pluvia. Cunctate quattuor numina, vos obsecro. Defendete nos a recente malo resoluto. Omnia vasa veritatis"
