Jinan in her human form
Jinan was a twenty-year-old Kaohsiung demon who lived in Hong Kong. She met Oz when he came to stay at her father Qing's shop during the full moon. Wanting to learn the secret of the dark arts and to get out of Hong Kong, Jinan accompanied Oz on his travel to Tibet to meet Shantou, where she stayed with him at his monastery.
She was capable of painlessly and effortlessly shifting between her demon and human forms. For most of her life she pretended to be a normal human girl and attended a human high school. She spoke English, Chinese, and a demon language.
