The Ancient Mummy Hand was an item for sale at the Magic Box shop.[1]
History[]
Buffy, on her first day working at the shop, agreed to help a costumer who wished to acquire it for a prosperity spell. However, the hand turned out very difficult to recover from the basement because of its aggressive nature. Furthermore, Jonathan had launched a spell launched to test her Slayer's capabilities, making her repeat the incident several times over.[1]
The hand would immediately attempt to choke Buffy. She first caught the hand by stabbing and killing it with the Dagger of Lex, but the costumer claimed that a dead hand lose its magical proprieties. Buffy also attempted to sell it by dismembering its fingers. In another attempt, the hand took Buffy's tong and threatened her with it.
After several clashes with the hand's destructive temperament through these time loops, Buffy concluded Jonathan's spell by declaring to the customer that the living mummy hand was defective, but that she could order a new one and receive it through the mail.[1]
