The Mosaic Wellness Center was a rehabilitation center for supernatural beings ranging from demons to humans with supernatural abilities.

However, when Spike checked himself into Mosaic as part of a case, it transpired that the center was actually a maximum security prison from which the inmates were unable to leave. Spike started a rebellion against the oppressive regime and, together with the other inmates, converted the center into an actual sanctuary for the supernatural.
