Mrs. Epps was the mother of Daryl and Chris Epps. After the death of her eldest son, she fell into a heavy depression, staying at home all night and constantly watching videos of Daryl's games while smoking.
Her son Chris tells her she's going out, but she ultimately ignores him and keeps her eyes on the television. She lives with her youngest son, in a house with a living room (with a small TV and a couch) and Chris' bedroom, which has many 'keep out' signs on the door. The front door is white with stained glass.
She answers the door when Buffy comes over to their house. She says nothing and retreats back to the couch. When Buffy enters and asks if he is home, she summarises the football game in detail. Buffy asks again, but she doesn't even know if it's a school day, and is more involved in watching Daryl's game on the TV and explains the move Daryl does. She then says he "would have been nineteen [that] week."
