New York City was a city in the United States. It has been home to Nikki Wood, Angel, and Melaka Fray at various times.

1942

Angel lived in a small New York apartment until he was forcibly recruited by the Demon Research Initiative for a mission.

1970s

During the seventies, New York was under the protection of Nikki Wood, a Slayer. This came to an end when Nikki was murdered by the vampire Spike in 1977.

1997

By this year Angel lived on the streets of Manhattan, feeding on rats instead of people until he met the demon Whistler.

2000s

In the 2000s, the Slayer Organization had a squad of Slayers under the command of Violet operating from Manhattan.

23rd century

New York City became known as Haddyn and was home to the Slayer, Melaka Fray. Fray prevented her brother, Harth Fray, from destroying the city and the world. The witch Willow Rosenberg also relocated to Haddyn where she eventually died. The slums in the lower part of the city were called Versi.
