The Prima Ballerina was a young woman who was employed as a dancer for the Blinnikov World Ballet Corps by Count Kurskov.

She was the core reason that the same performance of Giselle was portrayed each night since 1890 by way of a time bubble. The Count initially believed that the ballerina shared the feelings that he had for her, when in actuality she had secretly taken on a lover, Stefan. She feared what would happen to her if the Count discovered this. Her fears were realized when the Count discovered what he perceived as a betrayal and he trapped her and the other performers into a time bubble, causing them to dance the same performance night after night for over a century.
