Qing was a Kaohsiung demon who lived in Hong Kong, where he owned a butcher shop. He had a daughter named Jinan and he was a friend of Rupert Giles. During his travels to find a cure for his lycanthropy, Giles sent Oz to Qing to stay with him during the full moon.
Qing was capable of effortlessly and painlessly shifting between his human and demon forms. As a human, he looked like a large, bald Chinese man. He sported a tattoo of a dragon on his left arm.
