Ruth Greeliegh, nicknamed Ruthie, was the Sunnydale High nurse.

She assisted Coach Carl Marin in his plan to use an abandoned Soviet Union drug experiment to enhance the abilities of the school Swim Team. However, when she realized the mutative effects of the drugs on the students, she attempted to abandon the experiments. Marin tossed her into a sewer tunnel where he kept the fully mutated swim team and the monsters subsequently devouring her.
