Scott Gurney (born 1976) is an American executive producer, writer, director, actor, model, and entrepreneur who portrayed Kevin Benedict in the epsiode "Prophecy Girl" of the hit TV Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer has created several television series documentaries and unscripted/reality TV programming including Auction Hunters, Haunted Collector, Speed of Life, and American Guns. Gurney is also well known for producing several Shark Week specials for Discovery Channel including Killer Sharks: The Attacks of Black December, How Sharks Hunt, Shark City, Shark Attack Survival Guide, and Great White Appetite.

Prior to starting his production company, Gurney Productions, Inc., and before modelling and acting, Scott was a competitive athlete who won the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer National Championship in 1990. He began modelling for catalog retailer International Male in San Diego, and then went to Los Angeles and modeled for Calvin Klein and Polo Sport. In Los Angeles, he began taking acting classes and auditioning.

Gurney appeared on the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 7th Heaven, Baywatch, Cybill, Step By Step, Push and Married... with Children. He has also appeared in several NBC movies of the week and was the host of the reality television series Hotlines.

Currently, Gurney has several shows in production and pre-production for Discovery Channel, Spike, and Syfy networks.
