Spike and Dru: The Queen of Hearts is an one-shot from Dark Horse Classic comic book meta-series. It was written by Christopher Golden and illustrated by Ryan Sook.

Synopsis

When Joss Whedon saw the final copy of the first Spike and Dru, he said, “This is what the comic should look like every month!” We decided that called for a sequel. On their way to Sunnydale, the demonic duo stop off in sultry St. Louis, to try their hands at some riverboat gambling. They soon learn, however, that their rest and relaxation isn't quite as peaceful as they'd hoped![1]

Continuity

  • Spike warns Drusilla to not strain herself due to her health, in reference to her being recently tortured (The Problem with Vampires).
  • Spike and Drusilla are going to Sunnydale for the first time, as they’ll eventually arrive in episode "School Hard".
