"The Long Way Home" is the first volume of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight trade paperback, collecting issues one to five of the comic book series.

Synopsis

Since the destruction of the Hellmouth, the Slayers — newly legion — have gotten organized and are kicking some serious undead butt. But not everything's fun and firearms, as an old enemy reappears and Dawn experiences some serious growing pains. Meanwhile, one of the "Buffy" decoy slayers is going through major pain of her own.[1]

  • The book was again among the 100 best selling graphic novels, in January 2008 with 1,980 sales, in May 2008 with 1,334, and in July 2008 with 1,582. It was then included among the 300 best selling graphic novels in November 2008 with 505, in May 2009 with 436, in March 2010 with 534, in December 2010 with 707, in January 2011 with 580, in June 2011 with 491, in May 2012 with 563, and in June 2012 with 299. Most of these months coincided with other Season Eight trade paperbacks' releases. It was also among the 1000 best selling graphic novels of 2014.[3]
