The Vampire Restoration Ritual was a ritual meant to restore sick or injured vampires to health.

In late 1997, Drusilla was brutally tortured by an angry mob in Prague and left badly weakened. After arriving in Sunnydale, Spike eventually discovered that Drusilla could only be fully restored to health through a ritual involving the blood of her sire, Angel. To carry out this plan, Spike kidnapped Angel and hired the Order of Taraka to assassinate the Slayer, Buffy Summers, to prevent her from interfering. The Order failed, however, and Buffy successfully intervened and saved Angel's life, leaving Spike and Drusilla for dead. However, unbeknownst to the Scooby Gang at the time, both had survived; Drusilla was restored to perfect health, while Spike was left temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.^[1]
