Violet or "Vi" is a Slayer, active in the early 21st century, given her powers when Willow Rosenberg unlocks the essence of the Scythe.
[edit] Biography
A Potential Slayer, Vi had a Watcher but her time with him/her was very sheltered and she had yet to even see a vampire before her arrival in Sunnydale. When the First Evil begins its attack on the Slayer line, she is sent to Buffy Summers for protection and is one of the first to arrive on the Hellmouth, arriving around the same time as Chloe, between Kennedy, Molly and Annabelle's arrival in Bring on the Night, and Rona's arrival in Potential.
Vi is a very shy and nervous girl, and during her time as a Potential Slayer, she grows into a stronger and more confident young woman. Her training with Buffy and the other Potentials begins rather poorly, but as the war builds she becomes a proficient fighter and is chosen for Faith's tactical assault on the vineyard.
When the seal is opened, she enters the Hellmouth with an army of fellow Potentials, and though at first overwhelmed by the numbers of the First's Turok-Han, Willow's spell releases the power of the Slayer within her, and gives her the confidence neccesary to hold her own against the enemy.

Surviving the Hellmouth, Vi along with other Scooby Gang alumni becomes the leader of her own Slayer cell. In the early days of the group's efforts to locate Slayers worldwide, she appears alongside Andrew Wells on a recruitment video on television, trying to find Slayers.
Vi, now going under her full name of Violet, has become the leader of the New York branch of Buffy's organisation. After Willow receives a vision which leads her and Buffy to New York, she and Kennedy are witness to Buffy's chronal abduction into the future of Haddyn.
