Biography

"I treat you vamps good. I don't hassle you. You don't hassle me. We all enjoy the patronage of this establishment. Everybody's happy."
―Willy[src]

Willy the Snitch is a bar owner and informant who appears in the seasons two through four. Willy is a double-crossing human being, who basically follows instructions or requests if money is provided. He sometimes assists Buffy and other times betrays her. Characters, both good and bad, often beat up Willy for information.

In his first appearance, the "What's My Line" two-parter, he kidnaps a weakened Angel after he was locked in a cage by Kendra, and brings him to Spike and Drusilla. Later, he lures Buffy to Spike's location in the hopes of getting a reward (unaware that the bounty that Spike had put on Buffy's head to the Order of Taraka had been called off). He is then mentioned in "Innocence", Buffy having beaten him up "a couple times" in an attempt to gain the whereabouts of the then-missing Angel.

In "Amends", he is approached by Buffy for information on the First Evil and the Bringers. He is then attacked by the Sisterhood of Jhe, who were searching for Buffy and Angel in "The Zeppo" and beaten so severely that he required medical attention. When Buffy finds him, Willy warns her that the demons are very powerful, and advises her to find Angel and spend her potential last day on Earth in happiness. In "Enemies", Xander brags about beating information out of Willy "personally", but then admits that he just bribed him with $28.

Willy's final appearance is in "Goodbye Iowa", when Buffy goes to his bar in an attempt to get information on the murder of a little boy. While he does not make any future appearances, his bar does, and dialogue in future episodes makes it clear that he still resides in Sunnydale. Presumably, he evacuates Sunnydale along with all other humans and benevolent demons (sans the Scooby Gang) before the town's destruction.
