"Wrafthful Goddesses" were a class of deities or Bodhisattva. Three of them: Ekajati, Remati and Vajrayogini, were protectors of the Tibetan sanctuary in which Daniel Osbourne was established. They fed on the power of mystical beings - such as werewolves or Slayers - in exchange for protecting their dwellings. Unfortunately, after having gone too long without being summoned, they became unable to distinguish friend from foe.
