Zachary was a member of the Order of Aurelius and, like Luke and Darla, one of the favorite acolytes of The Master. It is unknown how old he was, though the Master's concern for his fate indicated he was sired by the Master himself. Zachary was slain by Buffy Summers, which prompted the Master to summon The Three, a trio of powerful vampire warriors, to hunt down the Slayer.
